GUILDFORD CRICKET CLUB

Guildford Beer Festival

The Guildford Beer Festival is hosted and run by Guildford Cricket Club, one of the largest, most successful cricket clubs in Surrey. We are founder members of the Surrey Championship League and our 1st XI play in the First Division.

On a Saturday we field three men’s Xls whilst on a Sunday our Academy (U-21) team play in the Surrey Trust League. Our Women’s first team are in the Championship division of the Southern League and we also run an U15 Girls’ team. In addition, we have Men’s and Women’s teams in the T20 Surrey Slam competition. We also run a vast programme of junior cricket, ages 7-17, along with an U19 team.

Volunteer At Guildford Beer Festival

VOLUNTEERING

Charley Teale, newly appointed Chair of the GBF Organising Committee, says:

“Come and join the team delivering this fantastic event!  We rely on volunteers and we really look after those who help us – fantastic camaraderie and great fun.  All our staff receive training, a GBF T-shirt and tokens for a meal and drinks.  There are other roles that do not require serving in the bars.”

We are also interested in hearing from local charities and voluntary groups.  Bring a team to work for us at the GBF and we will make a generous donation to your organisation.

FOR MUSICIANS

The GBF is well-known for the quality of its live music offering.  At the GBF in July 2023, there were performances by nine local bands and artists, which were enthusiastically received in the Andertons Music Tent.

Tom Worrall is the GBF’s Music Director, and he is interested in hearing from up-and-coming local bands and acts.  You are welcome to contact Tom at music@guildfordbeerfestival.co.uk.

COME AND JOIN US HERE AT
WOODBRIDGE ROAD

Whatever your age or ability, male or female, there is a welcome for you here at Guildford Cricket Club.

Seniors’ training takes place on Thursday evenings from 6pm, so come down to Woodbridge Road and meet our coaches and captains.

For Juniors, training is on Friday nights and Sunday mornings with a Winter Nets programme at RGS January to March. We accommodate boys and girls from the age of 8 and there’s a clear path into senior cricket as the youngsters develop.
